Undoubtedly, one of the most important locomotive tasks in the development, acculturation and modernization of Turkey are undertaken by enlightened and innovative teachers. Social Studies Teachers, who shape society like sculptors, are the creators of a strong and independent Turkey, the source of pride for our homeland, the social engineers of the future, and the bright torch of the heroic Turkish nation.

The mission of the Bursa Uludag University Social Studies Education Department is to train patriotic Social Studies Teachers who are wholeheartedly committed to Atatürk's principles and reforms and the values ​​of our Republic, who defend human rights and the supremacy of law, who can produce solutions to national and global problems, who can adapt to the developing and changing education system and technological innovations, who defend the supremacy of law and democracy, and who have strong field knowledge and professional qualifications.

The primary aim of the Department of Social Studies Education, with its well-equipped faculty members, is to train qualified teachers who are highly sensitive to children and the environment, who have internalized national culture and traditions, who read and research, who question and think scientifically, and who approach their students with empathy and tolerance.
