The seminar on "Occupational Health and Safety in Electricity" organized for the graduates and continuing students of the Electricity program of our Vocational School was held with the participation of Serkan Akkaya, UEDAŞ İnegöl Operations Manager. In the seminar, the importance of occupational health and safety in the electricity sector, the dangers that may be encountered in the work areas and the precautions to be taken were discussed in detail. Participants were informed with case studies from the real workplace and gained awareness on the importance of occupational safety practices. In his presentation, Serkan Akkaya provided valuable information on the risks encountered in the electricity sector and how to minimize these risks. He also shared detailed information on current occupational safety practices and legislation in the sector.
At the end of the seminar, the participants had the opportunity to ask their questions on the subject. At the end of the program, Serkan Akkaya was presented a certificate of appreciation by Prof.Dr. Hikmet Sami Yıldırımhan, director of Bursa Uludağ University Inegöl Vocational School, for his contributions. This event, which was held on behalf of the electricity program, contributed to the preparation of our graduates and students as better equipped individuals to the sector by increasing their professional knowledge and awareness.
